Sparks

Sparks is an awareness-raising project to show Europeans that they can get involved in science and innovation.

What is it?

The EU-supported Sparks is aimed at bridging the gap between the super-fast pace of scientific innovation and society through an interactive travelling exhibition and over 230 engaging activities taking place across the whole of the European Union.

Sparks promotes Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) by inviting key stakeholders to actively question, experiment and play with science to make it relevant to society. Animation videos, visionary art works and social media feeds are incorporated into the exhibition to explore the current hottest topics in medicine and healthcare in a fun and entertaining way. Supporting events, such as science-cafés and creative workshops offer people the opportunity to identify priority research questions and co-design scientific solutions together.

Where and when to participate in it?

The exhibition “Beyond the Lab” will be open at Impact Hub Budapest, between June 20 and August 16.

Participatory activities will be announced on this site: check out our News section.

Who is responsible for it?

Tamás Szabó
