Workshop based on our research with blind and partially sighted people and ecotourist guides

As an outcome of the InVisible Green project we participated in a workshop organized by the Blind and Partially Sighted Association in Csongrád County for experts of ecotourism of the Kiskunság National Park.

The president of the Blind and Partially Sighted Association in Csongrád County (VAGYCSOME), Anna Mária Ballai  were talking about the specialities of guiding blind or partially sighted people in nature. The experts of the National Park could ask questions in favour of giving the most that’s possible to partially sighted people during their tours and walks. After that they could practice what was told on a short walk in the Peszéri Forest, the members and volunteers of VAGYCSOME could get to know the wonders of autumn in the forest by the guides of the national park.

VAGYCSOME brought a detailed guidline to the national park that can be used for the design of guided tours in the areas of the national park. And they plan to organise similar workshops in the other national parks of Hungary as well.

Watch a short footage about the workshop made by VAGYCSOME.
