Explore our policy recommendations for the Sand Ridge region!

The Sand Ridge Land and Water Management Policy Lab has developed policy recommendations for land use in the region.

On 22 June 2026, MOSAIC team has convened the Sand Ridge Land and Water Management Policy Lab for the seventh occasion. These policy lab workshops provide a forum for discussing land-use issues in the Dong-ér and Kelő-ér catchment areas, bringing together various stakeholder groups, including local farmers, policymakers, forestry and water management professionals, national parks’ and civil society organisations’ representatives.

During the last workshop, participants jointly discussed, reviewed and finalised the policy recommendations on land use in the Sand Ridge region, prepared by the ESSRG–WWF research team. The comprehensive package offers recommendations ranging from general, landscape-level measures to specific solutions for water management, agriculture, forestry and mining, as well as proposals addressed to local governments.
