Open calls at EKLIPSE

Do you have a research question concerning biodiversity but do not know whom to ask? Would you like to organize a training or capacity building event but need support for it? Check the new EKLIPSE calls – we might be able to help you! The EKLIPSE Mechanism has just opened two new calls and invites organizations, networks and inviduals from science and policy to take part in its activities.

Call for requests

Policy and other societal actors are invited to identify topics or evidence needs relating to biodiversity and ecosystem services and of EU policy relevance, requiring in-depth analysis and a consolidated view from science and other knowledge holders. We particularly encourage the building of consortia representing policy, research, NGOs or individual applications from policy or other societal actors. Interested parties – including consortia – should apply by 8th October 2017 by following the rules and procedures detailed below. The selected requests will be announced week starting 30th October, 2017 and will be publicized on the EKLIPSE website. The process of answering these requests will start thereafter.

Call for capacity building events

EKLIPSE invites representatives of European networks, projects, organisations, universities or other entities holding expertise in issues related to the main subject of the call, to submit proposals to organise capacity building events which they believe will benefit Science-Policy-Society interface regarding biodiversity and ecosystem services and the related European community. Events can include a series of seminars, short courses, webinars, workshops, etc., as long as the relevance and importance to the main subject is fully justified. Events should be delivered to diverse participants in multiple countries across the EU. Selected applicants will gain financial support (partial funding not exceeding 7000 euro per event) and/or professional support. Deadline of application is 23rd October.
